In a new collaboration with the Community Associations Institute (CAI), a national non-profit for HOAs, the City of Carrollton with the Neighborhood Advisory Commission, are pleased to host the 2014 Neighborhoods Networking Training:

Empowering Neighborhoods Through Education
Saturday, February 8 • 8 am-1 pm
Family Life Center at Covenant Church

This free workshop is open to current and future neighborhood leadership, property managers, and interested residents. Non-Carrollton residents are welcome to attend.

This year’s event will offer a new set of sessions and, thanks to a partnership with Community Associations Institute, will provide a series of workshops designed specifically for Mandatory HOAs. Sessions include:

  • What Do You Mean We’re Not Covered? (Insurance)
  • Cyber Theft and Community Associations
  • New State Statutes for HOAs

Other topics of interest to both mandatory and voluntary neighborhoods will include:

  • Event Planning
  • Board Meetings Dos and Dont’s
  • Code Enforcement: Fact or Fiction
  • Neighborhood Crime Watch
  • The Neighborhood Partnership Office – Maximizing your Connection with the City

Join us for a free continental breakfast with a presentation by Councilmember Jeff Andonian. Chief Rex Redden will be our keynote “lunch and talk” speaker, discussing Safe Neighborhoods.
