Background and Education
Councilman Anthony Wilder is a native Texan and has lived in Carrollton since 2007. Mr. Wilder attended the University of Texas in Austin, TX, receiving his Bachelor degree in Mathematics in 1995.

Public Service
Mr. Wilder was elected to the city council in June 2011 and presently serves on the Finance/Audit Sub-Committee, Judicial Sub-Committee and liaison to the Denton County Justice Committee, Library Board and Property Standards Board and has served on the Special Events Subcommittee. Prior to his election to the City Council, Mr. Wilder served as Vice-Chair for the Carrollton Property Standards Board. He also serves in the following roles: Carrollton Library Advisory Board Liaison, Hebron High School Building Leadership Team, Denton County Republican Party – Area Leader, and Denton County Republican Party – Chairman of Precinct 2015.

Professional and Personal
Councilman Wilder is self-employed in software development. He has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 15 years and is the father of one daughter (age 11) and three sons (ages 9, 6 and 3).
