Background and Education
Mayor Pro Tem Anthony Wilder is a native Texan and has lived in Carrollton since 2007. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, TX, receiving his Bachelor degree in Mathematics in 1995.
Mayor Pro Tem Wilder was elected to the City Council in June 2011 and presently serves as the Chair of the Audit/Finance Subcommittee and the Judicial Subcommittee. He is also the liaison to the Denton County Justice, Lewisville ISD Board, Property Standards Board (PSB), and TRA Central Regional Wastewater System Advisory Committee. He has served as liaison the Library Board and served on the Special Events Subcommittee. Prior to his election to the City Council, Mayor Pro Tem Wilder was the Vice-Chair for the Property Standards Board. He also serves in the following roles: Hebron High School Building Leadership Team, Denton County Republican Party – Area Leader, and Denton County Republican Party – Chairman of Precinct 2015.
Professional and Personal
Mayor Pro Tem Wilder is self-employed in software development. He has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 15 years and is the father of one daughter (age 11) and three sons (ages 9, 6 and 3).
