Born and raised in Costa Rica, Maricela Zamora-Carelock has been playing the guitar and performing since she was 14 years old. Her first audiences were those in her own school, hospitals, and orphanages. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Costa Rica in pursuit of an Education degree. While there, she discovered her love for music and ultimately launched her singing career. Her talent for singing and writing songs quickly developed and her music spread across Costa Rica. Maricela has been in the United States since 1989 and is the mother of seven children and one stepson. Her motto quickly became "Give the Gift of Laughter." Since then, she has traveled and inspired thousands, both young and old alike. As an innovative speaker and composer, her creative music and lyrics have influenced countless lives around the world through radio, TV shows, and live performances.

Lunch menu: barbeque chicken, potato salad, corn casserole, and peach cobbler with ice cream. Our hosts this month are Brookhaven Nursing and Accel Rehabilitation.
