THE NEXT CIVIL SERVICE EXAM IS SCHEDULED for April 5, 2014


Minimum Qualifications to be a Carrollton Police Officer

  • U.S. citizen
  • 21 – 44 years of age at the time of the Civil Service Exam.
  • Associates Degree, or 90 hours of college credits toward a degree with a 2.0 GPA or better.
  • 30 hrs. college credit combined with 3 or more years of Active Duty in the military or Texas Certified Law Enforcement Experience.
  • If a veteran - Honorable Discharge.
  • No conviction of any felony or major misdemeanor
  • Good moral character, stable employment record, good credit rating, good driving record, valid Texas driver’s license, no history of drug or alcohol abuse
  • Carrollton PD Physical Agility Course
