The department facilitates the communication of the latest news and events through multiple avenues, including: social media, the City of Carrollton website, Leisure Connections, On the Horizon, streetscape lightpole banners, conventional media (newspapers, radio, local television, local access cable television programming), print and digital advertising venues, and more. In addition, the Marketing Services team is responsible for weekly press releases, crisis communication, policy response, interview coordination, and media training.

The City of Carrollton landed among the best with the No. 11 spot on WalletHub’s 2014 list of Best and Worst Cities for first-time home buyers.
Beginning August 18, the City of Carrollton Municipal Court will be making telephone calls and mailing collection letters to individuals who have outstanding arrest warrants.
In addition to the free rides and games offered at Carrollton’s 5th Annual Festival at the Switchyard, the little ones also can expect to have a great time inside the Plaza Theater watching magicians, comedians, circus acts, and more.
A tax rate of $0.617875 per $100 valuation has been proposed for adoption by the governing body of the City of Carrollton. This rate exceeds the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate, and state law requires that two public hearings be held by the governing body before adopting the proposed tax rate.
The City of Carrollton will hold Public Hearings August 19 and September 2 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall on the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2014 and ending September 30, 2015.
