TAMIO award 2013The award winning Marketing Services team strategically and effectively markets the City of Carrollton as an intriguing and attractive place to live, work, and play. The department facilitates the communication of the latest news and events through multiple avenues, including: social media, the City of Carrollton website, Leisure Connections, On the Horizon, streetscape lightpole banners, conventional media (newspapers, radio, local television, local access cable television programming), print and digital advertising venues, and more. In addition, the Marketing Services team is responsible for weekly press releases, crisis communication, policy response, interview coordination, and media training.

Cable TV Programming - Catch the latest local government meetings and view information on City events and announcements.  Council meetings are on-air at 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily, while Planning & Zoning Meetings can be viewed at 7 a.m. & 5 p.m.

Severe weather (snow, ice, high winds, etc.) may necessitate the temporary closure of City of Carrollton leisure service facilities.
Registration begins March 9 for the 4th annual Carrollton Trails 5K and Family Fun Walk event on Saturday, May 2. Early registration guarantees a race bag, a T-shirt and timing chip.
Various lanes of the southbound I-35E frontage road between Fox Avenue in Lewisville and Frankford Road in Carrollton will be closed daily from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. through Saturday, Feb. 28. At least one lane of traffic will remain open.
The Carrollton Wind Symphony will present a Spring Concert on Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m.
An additional vet crew has been added to vaccinate more pets quickly. $5 rabies vaccinations will be available, as well as free pet registration for Carrollton residents,free hot dogs, pretzels, drinks, face painting, a bounce house, and wildlife information. The event will run from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., but rabies vaccinations will only be available from 10 a.m.- noon.
