Cost of Living Among the top 25 metropolitan areas with more than 1.5 million population, the Dallas metropolitan statistical area is one of the most economical major cities in which to live, with the cost of living averaging 2.5% below the national average. Consistently one of the most active housing markets in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for both newly constructed and pre-owned homes, Carrollton offers a convenient location and a wide variety of available housing, prices and styles to suit every taste. Health Care Carrollton is home to Trinity Medical Center, a fully-accredited, 207-bed full-service hospital and medical complex, with over 355 physicians on staff. The center also includes a pharmacy, a 160-bed skilled nursing facility and the Trinity Easter Seal Society for Children.Parks and Recreation With more than 1,230 acres of developed park land, Carrollton's park land per capita is one of the highest in the Metroplex. The city of Carrollton's parks and recreation facilities include numerous playgrounds, playing fields, hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, picnic areas and fishing ponds. Two 18-hole golf courses at the Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrollton have been rated among the top 15 municipal golf courses in the state.
