Recyclables are collected from blue roll-out recycling carts* on regular trash collection days every other week according to the Recycling Calendar (see links above). Recycle more - it's easy! Head straight for the blue cart - there is no need to presort items or place them in plastic bags (except shredded paper, which should be placed in a CLEAR plastic bag). Make sure the cart lid will close, and roll the cart to the designated pick up spot (curb or alley) on recycling day for convenient service. *Carts are not available for apartments. Approximately 25% of Carrollton residents live in apartments; however, the majority of the existing apartment complexes were constructed without consideration for recycling. Each location has logistical obstacles that need to be addressed. Although apartment managers are encouraged to provide recycling options for their tenants, we are not aware of any that currently do so. At this point, there are no recycling drop off locations available for Carrollton apartment dwellers.
